The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015
provided the member countries with a blueprint to end poverty, protect the environment
and bring about peace and prosperity to all the people by the year 2030. However, despite
significant efforts by governments, organizations, and individuals around the world, there
is a risk that the SDGs will not be achieved by the target date of 2030.
Achieving the SDGs will require transformative changes in social, economic, and
environmental systems in the community. The existing strategies designed to achieve the
SDGs, need to be revisited, deliberated and informed changes should be made in the policy
to incorporate them. It is essential to innovate, integrate, and implement strategies that
can create sustainable development pathways. Innovations in technology, business
models, and social systems will create sustainable solutions. Achieving sustainable
development goals requires the integration of economic, social, and environmental
considerations into decision-making processes. These transformations require
cooperation and collaboration across sectors and at all levels of society, from individual
action to global policy agreement.
Our Conference will provide the public health specialists from across the country a platform
to share their ideas and experiences and collaborate towards achieving Sustainable
Development Goals.
